How to activate your eSIM when you arrive

If you installed your eSIM before travelling (which we recommend), you will need to activate it when you land at your destination. Activation is quick and takes less than a minute.

On iPhone

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile Data.
  2. You will see your SaundersRoam eSIM listed alongside your primary line.
  3. Tap your SaundersRoam line.
  4. Toggle Turn On This Line.
  5. Toggle Data Roaming on.
  6. Go back to Mobile Data and set SaundersRoam as your Mobile Data line (this tells your phone to use the eSIM for internet, not your home SIM).

On Android

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager (Samsung) or Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs (Pixel).
  2. Tap your SaundersRoam eSIM and enable it.
  3. Set it as the preferred SIM for Mobile Data.
  4. Turn on Data Roaming for the SaundersRoam line.

Important: Data Roaming must be enabled on the SaundersRoam line for it to connect to local networks. This will not incur roaming charges from your home carrier - the SaundersRoam plan is a local data plan.

How do I know it is working?

Within a few seconds of enabling the line, you should see a data connection indicator (4G/LTE or 5G) in your status bar. Open a browser and load any webpage to confirm. If you have issues, see our troubleshooting guide.
