If you installed your eSIM before travelling (which we recommend), you will need to activate it when you land at your destination. Activation is quick and takes less than a minute.
On iPhone
- Go to Settings > Mobile Data.
- You will see your SaundersRoam eSIM listed alongside your primary line.
- Tap your SaundersRoam line.
- Toggle Turn On This Line.
- Toggle Data Roaming on.
- Go back to Mobile Data and set SaundersRoam as your Mobile Data line (this tells your phone to use the eSIM for internet, not your home SIM).
On Android
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager (Samsung) or Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs (Pixel).
- Tap your SaundersRoam eSIM and enable it.
- Set it as the preferred SIM for Mobile Data.
- Turn on Data Roaming for the SaundersRoam line.
Important: Data Roaming must be enabled on the SaundersRoam line for it to connect to local networks. This will not incur roaming charges from your home carrier - the SaundersRoam plan is a local data plan.
How do I know it is working?
Within a few seconds of enabling the line, you should see a data connection indicator (4G/LTE or 5G) in your status bar. Open a browser and load any webpage to confirm. If you have issues, see our troubleshooting guide.
