Every SaundersRoam eSIM plan has a validity period - this is the number of days the plan is active for, starting from the moment you first connect to a network at your destination.
When does the validity period start?
Your plan's validity period begins when your eSIM first connects to a mobile network in your destination country. It does not start when you purchase or install the eSIM. This means you can buy and install your eSIM days or weeks before your trip without losing any of your validity.
What happens when my plan expires?
- Your data connection on the SaundersRoam line will stop.
- Your home SIM line is unaffected - calls, texts, and data on your primary line continue as normal.
- There are no automatic renewals or surprise charges. The plan simply ends.
- The eSIM profile will remain on your phone but will no longer provide data.
If you need more time
If your trip runs longer than expected, you can purchase a new eSIM plan from saundersroam.com at any time. Your new plan will be delivered instantly by email, and you can install it on your device alongside your existing eSIM.
- Visit saundersroam.com and choose a plan for your destination.
- Complete your purchase - your new installation details will be emailed instantly.
- Install the new eSIM following the same steps as before (your phone can hold multiple eSIM profiles).
- Set the new eSIM as your data line in your phone's settings.
Tip: Choose a plan with a validity period that covers the full length of your trip. It is usually better value than buying a shorter plan and having to purchase a second one.
